The Daresbury Laboratory Time Frame Generator unit allows a wide range of complex and functionally diverse experimental elements to be coordinated in a predictable and straight-forward manner.
Based on a unit widely used within the synchrotron community, the TFG1, this next generation unit not only improves upon the basic system parameters but also affords new functions such as beam synchronisation and ADC logging.
This technically advanced VME based unit has recently been installed on the Diamond Light Source and offers great benefits to synchrotron beamline scientists.

6 Time Frame Output Connectors, 3 Combined Time Frame Outputs, 9 Individual External Trigger Inputs, 6 timing and beam clock inputs, 11 VETO, FRAMING and FRAME 0 outputs in TTL and LVDS standards

10ns Resolution, 10ns - 24hr Time Frame Length, multiple frames per cycle, multiple cycles per execution

Built to provide the first totally comprehensive timing system for pushing the boundaries of experimental timing

Easy to read displays ensure correct execution and records of experiments

The high precision of the TFG2 enables it to trigger experiments to match the rotation of electrons around a storage ring.

Secure connections, precision contacts, high reliability and premium materials ensure perfect connections every time
Time frame resolution 10 ns
Time frame length 10 ns to 24 hrs
Time frame repetitions <43,000,000
